Who knew?

I'm all a blush here. I've been nominated as a Rockin' Girl Blogger by The Friendly Knitter (hop over and read her blog - it's one of my regular reads). Friendly indeed - friendly enough to share the wealth of praise for making time to chat by blog.

Rockin' Girl Blogger

And what does every rockin' blogger type girl need? A radio for her office, of course. I scored this Tivoli Model Three from Target yesterday for 75% off. I was giddy all day with satisfaction. These radios NEVER go on sale (or at least not in the past year that I've lusted after them). I already have Model One in my living room and love it. But I couldn't justify spending mondo dollars on a radio just for little ole me sitting at my desk. But let's face it, the piddly little speakers on my laptop just were not cutting it. I can't really be a rockin' blogger with puny laptop speakers to back me up. Problem solved!

Tivoli Model Three

As a recently nominated rockin' girl, I get to name some of my own favorite rockin' girl bloggers. So here goes (in no particular order):
  • Lisa of Continue in Kind - this is a new read for me but after reading her "100 Things About Me" list, I am convinced we are long lost best friends
  • Stephanie of Unwind - not only does she knit fantastically, but she bakes like nobody's business - be warned that carb cravings may occur when reading
  • Jeanne of Life in Cleveland - a great knitter who has a new love of spinning - I love seeing Cleveland through her
  • Kristin of Yarn & Order - one of several great Texas knit bloggers I read - take a look at the pics of canisters and aprons she recently blogged - they make me want to collect things
  • Meghann of Radiant Twist - she dyes beautiful yarns - take a look at the Lotus Socks on her blog
Rock on!

Thanks!!!! I feel very special, indeed! And I'm also happy that people are seeing more of my town through the blog - I love my city and I know it has a bad rap so it made my day that you mentioned it.
